Groups visiting Chiddingstone Castle and Knole House in Kent, in 2018, will get to enjoy a new package which includes lunch and guided tours.
Groups can visit two of Kent’s heritage attractions in one day for a discounted price, including a ploughman’s lunch.
Group package
The experience will start at Chiddingstone Castle with a guided tour of the house with its Tudor origins and Victorian rooms. Plus you’ll get to see Egyptian, Japanese Stuart and Buddhist artefacts. During the tour, groups will also uncover the story of unrequited love and attempted murders at the castle. Afterwards a ploughman’s lunch will be served.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit Knole House and discover more than 600 years of history. On a visit you’ll view paintings and furniture plus learn about conserving priceless treasures through interactive displays and enjoy panoramic views of the 1,000 acre Medieval deer park.
The package is available for groups of 15 people or more on Mondays and Tuesdays only, between April and October 2018. The offer excludes transport.

Various events are available during the year at both attractions and groups are welcome throughout the year.
Both Chiddingstone Castle and Knole House are ‘Wonders of the Weald’ which is a name for locations of outstanding beauty in the Weald area, which includes Kent.
Chiddingstone is believed to date back to the 1500s and has been owned and lived in by a mix of people. It has undergone many transformations overs the centuries due to different architectural eras.
The Knole House we see today is a preserved and complete early Jacobean remodelling of a Medieval archiepiscopal palace. It was built by the Archbishops of Canterbury after 1456.
