The 2024 Group Leisure & Travel Awards ceremony is moving to a five-star venue in London and at a different time of year.
The event is moving to the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London and will be staged on Thursday 27th June for what promises to be a glitzy celebration of the only national awards recognising group travel.
It follows the success of the 2023 GLT Awards dinner which took place in the city of Milton Keynes at the beginning of October having moved there in 2019 after more than a decade at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, NEC.
The event was last held in London in 2005 and has traditionally been staged at the same time as the Group Leisure & Travel Show. While the exhibition will remain in Milton Keynes (taking place on 3rd October 2024 at the Marshall Arena).
GLT publisher, Rob Yandell explains: “We want to build upon the success of the awards and feel that moving the ceremony to a five-star venue in central London will enable us to deliver an even bigger and better celebration.
“While it has always been nice to have the GLT Awards ceremony and GLT Show at the same time, it’s clear that separating them will allow guests, partners and exhibitors to focus more on each individual event, which we feel will benefit everyone.
“The summer timing works well logistically and this upgrade comes off the back of a very successful 2023 Group Leisure & Travel Awards.”
