Qdos Entertainment has announced that it will return to the London Palladium over this year’s festive season with the pantomime of Dick Whittington.
The performances of Dick Whittington will start on 9th December; tickets are on sale now.
Dick Whittington follows the story of a boy who travels to London to seek fortune and fame. He arrives with no money and is later introduced to a cat who soon becomes his trusty companion. The cat helps Dick in his quest to achieve his riches, and become Lord Mayor of London.
Further details regarding the show and casting will be revealed at a later date.
Qdos Entertainment’s run of Cinderella, which opened last December, continues at the Palladium until 15th January this year. The production has a cast including Paul O’Grady, Julian Clary, Amanda Holden, Lee mead and Nigel Havers.
The pantomime of Dick Whittington is set to have an all-star cast line-up as well.
On the return of pantomime to the Palladium, Qdos Entertainment chairman, Nick Thomas, commented: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the exceptional response that our production of Cinderella has received… We couldn’t resist Really Useful Theatre’s invitation to return to the iconic home of pantomime for a second year and look forward to revealing more about Dick Whittington and its cast.”

It is a popular venue for leading musicians, performers, comedians and now pantomimes, which is a genre that returned last December after being absent for almost 30 years.
Over the past few decades Qdos Entertainment, owned by Nick Thomas, has staged 649 pantomimes and this season the company expects more than 1.6 million people to see one of the shows.
