A new floating aqua park, boasting a 92-metre inflatable assault course, will open at Albert Dock Liverpool this year, it has been announced.
The park, Adventure Dock Co, will operate throughout the summer months from May until October and tickets are on sale now. Groups are welcome.
What to expect from Adventure Dock Co
The aqua park will give the public the opportunity to enjoy water-based activities on Liverpool’s iconic, UNESCO World Heritage waterfront. It is expected to include ‘challenges, slides, jumps and drops’.
The course will be located on Duke’s Dock, in between Albert Dock which is home to museums, attractions, restaurants, bars and shops, and King’s Dock, home to ACC Liverpool and the Wheel of Liverpool, with food concessions, a wetsuit store and beach-style changing huts.
Tim Woodhead, managing director of Industry Wake, the company behind the new attraction, commented: “We are over the moon to bring this fantastic new attraction to Duke’s Dock, a fun and action-filled, aqua park that will create a “splash” in the city.
“We have worked at several iconic locations in the past, but none as prestigious or historic as Liverpool’s waterfront. Our aqua park is something that will excite those young and old, and I can guarantee that our obstacles will leave thrill-seekers wanting to return over and over again for more”
Sue Grindrod, chief executive of Albert Dock Liverpool, said: "We look forward to working in partnership with The Adventure Dock Co and Canal & River Trust, to animate the water space and create something new for visitors to enjoy at Albert Dock.”
