Groups will be able to explore areas of three Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines ships that are usually off limits to passengers.
The cruise line has launched the new behind-the-scenes tour on its fleet of smaller-sized ships: Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral.
Guests have the opportunity to see the inner workings of the ships by venturing into the Galley to see how the chefs prepare delicious meals, learn what it takes to manage the stores and laundry room and enjoy visits to the Engine Control Room and the Bridge.
James Moss, itinerary product manager at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer our guests these new tours which will help them uncover the secrets and challenges of running a cruise ship.
“They’ll be able to discover the volume of food needed to feed both guests and crew as well as meet and speak to our dedicated crew members who are at the heart of what makes sailing with us so special, while gaining an insight into life on board.”
The tours, which include a keepsake lanyard and professional photo, are for a maximum of 12 guests and larger groups will be able to split up for the experience.
They have been launched to enhance Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Signature Experience, The Ship and Sea, which aims to give guests an insight into the company’s 175 years of maritime heritage.
GTOs can earn free places on cruises depending on their booking and the size. There are other benefits too including funding towards coach transfers to/from the port or airport (subject to availability), free on board spend and a free group drinks party.
