Go Ape forest adventure to open in Battersea Park

Battersea Park will welcome a new Go Ape on Thursday 10th December.

The adventure course will be the company’s first tree top challenge to be based outside of a forest environment.

The overall experience will be higher and more physically challenging in parts than at Go Ape’s previous sites.

The course will consist of two main towers, from which participants will work their way around several loops of obstacles and zip wires of varying difficulty. The crossings will be suspended from suitable trees and purpose built steel poles.

Chief Gorilla at Go Ape, Tristram Mayhew, explained, “We’ve long wanted to bring our award winning high wire tree top adventure to the centre of London, and are delighted that Go Ape in Battersea Park is a first for any city in the UK. The highest obstacle crossings are double the height of most Go Ape courses, and many are twice as long as usual, making them extra wobbly and challenging.

Go Ape is about creating adventures and encouraging everyone to live life adventurously. We believe we have designed a naturally thrilling test of nerves high up in Battersea’s tree tops. We look forward to welcoming Londoners and seeing if they are up to our challenge!”

Groups of up to 45 can book Go Ape online. Larger parties can call the booking team to talk through their needs. Extras like welcome drinks, brunch, barbecues and picnics are also an option.
