At the end of January Sarah Holt will leave her post as editor of Group Leisure magazine and its portfolio.
Sarah took the reins of Group Leisure in October 2014 and her role over the past two years has seen her writing and editing articles on everything from Wakefield to Cuba.
She has been involved in Reader Club trips, the Group Leisure Awards, as well as overseeing Group Leisure’s range of directories and annuals.
Speaking of her departure Sarah said: “The past two years have been amazing. I’ve had the privilege of exploring the UK and Europe as part of my role. The best part of my job, however, has been the people. I’ve met some amazing and inspiring GTOs and industry professionals who I’ve come to class as my friends not just colleagues.”
Sarah leaves to take a career break in which she’ll travel the world, starting in Central America before moving on to Africa and Canada.
Publisher of Group Leisure, Rob Yandell commented: “It’s always sad to see valued colleagues leave but we’re mainly jealous about Sarah’s amazing travel plans! I have already started the recruitment process and will oversee the smooth transition to a new editor, who will be ready to maintain and further Group Leisure’s reputation as the most innovative, authoritative and inspiring magazine in the groups market.”
