More about the Cinderella cast
Paul O’Grady is best known as the host of his comedy chat show, The Paul O’Grady Show, and for his comedic alter-ego character called Lily Savage.
Starring in Cinderella won’t be his first time appearing in panto. The comedian has starred in many productions over the years – including Aladdin and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – as Lily.
The role of Dandini will be played by Julian Clary, who began his career as a comic thirty years ago. Julian will also be making a return to pantomime for his role of Dandini, having stared in Aladdin between December 2015 and January 2016.
Lee Mead, on the other hand, began his theatre roots after winning the BBC series Any Dream Will Do, which led him to staring as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in 2007. He is also known for starring in Casualty.
Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers and Count Arthur Strong are all set to star in the production also, in the roles of Buttons, Lord Chamberlain and Baron Hardup.
Cinderella will run at the London Palladium for five weeks over the festive season, from Friday 9th December 2016 until Sunday 15th January 2017.
It is the first time in 30 years a panto will be staged at the theatre.
