Groups visiting Warwick Castle in 2017 can enjoy the launch of a new show called Wars of the Roses Live, which will run on selected dates from May.
Wars of the Roses Live has been described as a ‘jousting spectacular’, and will take place on 50 dates from 27th May.
The new show asks audience members to pledge allegiance to either the House of York or the House of Lancaster, two sides of the same fractured family who battled, besieged and betrayed each other for three decades in the fifteenth century.
Wars of the Roses Live is a re-enactment of a battle of the two houses, both of whom are vying for the English crown.
Audiences will witness a live action horseback battle that comes complete with special effects, stunts, and displays of knightly heroism.
Group travel organisers can book tickets for the show alone, or incorporate it into a day of exploring Warwick Castle.
Alternatively, groups can extend a stay by booking a Wars of the Roses-themed short break that includes exclusive viewing of Wars of the Roses Live and a stay in a Medieval-themed riverside woodland lodge in the Knight’s Village.
Two days’ entrance to Warwick Castle with access to its attractions and live shows, a cooked or continental breakfast, and car parking are also included in the themed break.
