Woburn Abbey and Gardens has announced that it will hold its group rates for 2016.
The attraction will be open from 18th March until the 30th October, with guided tours, out of hours experiences and free flow visits available for groups.
Some exhibitions worth visiting throughout the year include Peeling Back The Years – Chinese Wallpaper at Woburn Abbey and Père David Deer – From Bejing to Woburn and Back.
Peeling Back The Years aims to tell the story of the 4th Duke’s bedroom through its layers of wallpaper and will show how wallpapers at Woburn illustrate the changing style of Chinese wallpapers, as well as how they were made, sold and hung.
Last year, Woburn celebrated the return of Père David’s Deer to China and the exhibition will be running this year also. Père David Deer focuses on the collaboration between Woburn and China conservation projects. Visitors will learn about the partnership that helped return the animals to their natural habitat.
Woburn’s annual Garden Show, meanwhile, will be held between the 25th and the 26th June. Plants, furniture, decorations, tools and hardware will all be available to buy during the weekend and there will also be live music throughout the days.
Groups can also visit The Duchess’ Tea Room for cream tea, homemade biscuits and light lunches, as well as the indulgent Duchess Anna Maria Afternoon Tea. The Duchess Anna Maria Afternoon Tea includes a selection of homemade cakes, sandwiches and scones with jams and clotted tea, served with tea or coffee.
The tearoom will remain open on Fridays through to Sundays from 4th November, even after the rest of the abbey and gardens are closed.
Group benefits include discounted entry, meet and greet services, free parking, free entry for the group organiser, a £10 refreshment voucher for the driver, options for talks and guided tours and discounts for pre-booked refreshments and meals.
