We’ve picked out a handful of group-friendly stays over the festive months for GTOs looking for a last-minute getaway for their members.
Potters Resorts
Tis’ the season to be jolly, and a popular place to fill yourself with festive cheer is Potters Resorts at Five Lakes in Essex or Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk. From the moment you arrive, the themed Garden Party will kick off the festivities which include yuletide activities, music, quizzes and entertainment.
The highlight will be a night with all the festive trimmings, starting with a hearty Christmas dinner and culminating with the Christmas Spectacular; an evening of festive music, dance and comedy.
Four-night midweek festive breaks and three-night weekend stays start from 11th November.
Warner Hotels
You can let Warner Hotels take care of everything for your group with one of their festive breaks. If you’re looking for warmth, good food, nice rooms, entertainment and plenty to do – they tick all the boxes.
The Hijacked Hollies, Rocketmax – A Tribute to Elton John, and Beyond Bublé are just a taste of the entertainment on offer this festive season across various hotels, including Nidd Hall, Corton and Cricket St Thomas.
Every break includes bed, breakfast and dinner, all evening entertainment, activities, leisure facilities and more.
Daish’s Holidays
Christmas starts early with Daish’s Holidays tinsel and turkey breaks beginning at the start of October and running until the big day.
Groups can choose from a four or five-day break at Daish’s 12 hotels, including the Russell Hotel in Weymouth and Somerset Hotel in Llandudno. Or head to the 72-room Blackpool Hotel which is in a prime seafront location for the Illuminations.
Full board festive holidays start on 23rd December or there are three-night Twixmas breaks from 27th December at hotels in the Lake District, Blackpool, Torquay, Weymouth and Bournemouth.
The party will get started for the new year from 29th December with a five-day break that features plenty of food, fizz and entertainment.
Brend Collection
How about a Christmas getaway by the coast? Brend Collection offers a choice of pre-festive getaways and groups can opt for the luxurious Carlyon Bay Hotel set above St Austell Bay in Cornwall with breathtaking views. The Grand Hotel, part of Richardson Hotels group, is offering either a three-night festive stay or a two-night New Year package.
The former is from Christmas Eve until 27th December and includes a five-course Christmas lunch, entertainment and the chance to enjoy some of the local festive charm.
Groups are invited to dance the night away to the sounds of a Michael Bublé tribute during the New Year break and let’s just say, your members certainly won’t go hungry.
