Becky Chikaura, Ms Bee Group Travel, is a regular visitor to the GLT Show and had a successful day at last year’s exhibition in Milton Keynes.

One of the meetings she had was with Potters Resorts which led to an invitation to try out a two-day fam stay at the Five Lakes resort.

“I’m so glad I had the opportunity to connect again with the team at the show. A big shout out to Potters Resorts - we truly enjoyed the stay and I must say, it was an amazing experience”, Becky told us.

Becky loves coming to the Group Leisure & Travel Show and picks up lots of inspiration for future group trips.

She added: “I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my expectations were far exceeded in every aspect. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. This resort is truly a hidden gem in the UK.”

One of the two Potters Resorts sites, Five Lakes, is located between Maldon and Colchester and opened in 2022.

Becky said: “The entertainment was a highlight of our stay – singing along to karaoke and dancing into the early hours was a blast. The spa and pool facilities provided the perfect relaxation, and we loved the indoor games.

Enjoying a spot of golf - Becky loved all the indoor games available.

“Although the rain kept us from enjoying the outdoor games, it didn’t dampen our spirits. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!”

Based in Letchworth Garden City, Becky is now working with the team at Potters on a groups package for this year and they’re planning a stay in 2025.

In an interview with GLT Becky explained the type of people she organised trips for: “I know there are lots of over 50s travel groups, as well as younger people travelling together, but there is an in-between age bracket of mothers, such as myself, who don’t really have many options when it comes to group travel.

“When I take these women away, I get to watch them relax and unwind without the pressure of work or family life.”

Becky on the GLT Show

The GTO has previously said how informative and interesting she finds the Group Leisure & Travel Show. She told us: “The GLT Show just has that atmosphere where you know you’re in a room with like-minded people and you get ideas.

“I will keep coming to the GLT Show every year because we get so much information, it is a great experience for us and you can find a whole range of ideas.”
