The seminar speakers at the 2019 Group Leisure & Travel Show in Milton Keynes have confirmed what they’ll be talking about at the exhibition.
Julie Peasgood, Simon Calder & Kate Humble have shared details of the subjects of their talks at this year’s GLT Show which takes place on Thursday, 10th October.
The 2019 event, Britain’s biggest exhibition for groups and coach tour operators planning trips, holidays and visits, will be held at the Marshall Arena, Stadium MK, Milton Keynes.
It promises a brilliant range of exhibitors from top attractions to tour operators, tourist boards, hotels and more. Free parking is available adjacent to the venue and there will be complimentary coach transfers from various pick-up points across the country.
There’s also a free-to-attend Seminar Theatre for visitors to enjoy throughout the day.
The line-up for the Seminar Theatre, along with details of the talks, has now been confirmed:
- 11.30am Julie Peasgood – Taking groups on a cruise
Julie Peasgood has a multi-faceted career as an accomplished actress, TV presenter and producer, award-winning writer and events host. A veteran of no less than 80 cruises, Julie writes about travel for the Mail on Sunday and has regular columns in GLT and Crafts Beautiful magazines. At this year’s show Julie will be discussing all aspects of taking groups on cruises – sharing ideas, experiences, advice and dispelling a few myths.
- 1.00pm – Simon Calder – 25 years on The Independent
Simon is senior travel editor of The Independent as well as an acclaimed TV and radio presenter. Known as the ‘go to’ expert for all things travel and ‘the man who pays his way’, Simon will be looking back at 25 years on the travel desk, discussing trends and sharing his experiences as well as looking at opportunities and ideas in group travel.
- 2.30pm – Kate Humble – The joy of getting off the beaten track
Writer and broadcaster Kate presents hugely popular wildlife programmes including Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Animal Park. Well known for championing the countryside and the great outdoors, Kate will be sharing her passion for the British countryside, encouraging group travel organisers to make the most of Britain’s beautiful natural sights.
