Find out which shows have extended their stay in London’s ‘Theatreland’ and when they are booking to so you can plan your future visits to the West End and beyond.
1. MJ at the Prince Edward Theatre
Booking for the three-time Oliver Award nominated musical has been extended until Saturday 28th March 2026 and new casting has been announced as the production enters its second year at the Prince Edward Theatre. Groups as little as six can save money on tickets.
Jamaal Fields-Green will continue in the role of Michael Jackson and will be joined by Matt Mills as Joseph Jackson/Rob, Mitchell Zhangazha as Young Michael and Philippa Stefani as Rachel.
About the show: Centred around the making of Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour, MJ the Musical (pictured above) goes beyond the singular moves and signature sound of the star to offer a rare look at the creative mind and collaborative spirit that catapulted Jackson to legendary status.
MJ includes several of Michael Jackson’s most iconic hits, such as Billie Jean, Beat It, Man in the Mirror, Thriller and Smooth Criminal.
2. Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre
The West End production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton has extended its booking until Saturday 28th March 2026. Groups of ten or more can benefit from discounted rates for certain shows.
About the show: The musical follows the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of the United States of America, using rap music and lyrics that cleverly weave together a historic story that was largely untold until its release. The musical opened in the West End in December 2017 after sell-out performances on Broadway.
3. SIX at The Vaudeville Theatre
The producers of SIX have announced that the musical has extended at the Vaudeville Theatre until Sunday 28th June 2026, with groups of 12 or more able to make use of discounted rates for band A tickets from Tuesdays to Thursdays.
About the show: Join Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr, backed by their on-stage band, the Ladies in Waiting. Experience the Tudor wives’ lives as they turn back the clock and take to the stage to retell their stories of love, loss and the infamous ex they all have in common.
SIX has won more than 35 international awards, including two Tony Awards and three WhatsOnStage Awards and has been nominated for five Olivier Awards.
4. Starlight Express at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express has extended booking for a fifth time at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, with tickets on sale through to Sunday 1st March 2026. Group rates are available for Wednesday and Thursday matinee and evening performances and Friday and Sunday evenings.
About the show: A child’s train set magically comes to life and the engines race to become the fastest in the world. Rusty the steam train has little hope of winning until he is inspired by the legend of the ‘Starlight Express’.
Seen by over 20 million people across the world, the production features a cast of 40 whizzing around and above the audience, performing songs like AC/DC, Make Up My Heart, Light at the End of the Tunnel and title song Starlight Express.
5. The Mousetrap at St Martin’s Theatre
Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has extended booking until Saturday 21st March 2026 at St Martin’s Theatre, as it celebrates 30,000 performances in the West End. The murder mystery opened in 1952 and is officially the world’s longest running play. Groups of ten or more can book to see the murder mystery at discounted rates on Monday to Friday performances.
About the show: When news of a shocking murder rocks London, seven strangers find themselves trapped in a secluded guesthouse, snowed in with nowhere to hide. But when a police sergeant arrives, the real mystery begins as they discover one of them is a killer. As secrets unravel and pasts get exposed, the guests are left wondering: who’s the murderer and who could be next?
6. The Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty’s Theatre
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera has extended its booking until Saturday 28th March 2026. Group rates are available for ten or more people on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday performances, along with Sunday performances at 5:30pm.
About the show: The production tells the tale of a disfigured musical genius known as ‘The Phantom’ who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Mesmerised by the talents and beauty of a young soprano – Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love.
Unaware of Christine’s love for Raoul, the Phantom’s obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide. The Phantom of the Opera has played to over 160 million people in 48 territories and 198 cities.
7. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has extended its run to Sunday 15th February 2026, taking it into its tenth year in the West End. Discounted group rates are available for groups of ten or more and are valid from Tuesdays to Thursdays and Sundays at 7pm.
About the show: 19 years after Harry, Ron, and Hermione saved the wizarding world, they’re back on a most extraordinary new adventure – this time, joined by a brave new generation that has only just arrived at the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Prepare for spectacular spells, a mind-blowing race through time, and an epic battle to stop mysterious forces, all while the future hangs in the balance.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is one play presented in two parts. It is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. Parts one and two can either run on a single day (with the first beginning in the afternoon and the second following in the evening), or tickets can also be purchased for each part on different days.
8. Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre
The West End production of Hadestown has extended performances until Sunday 15th February 2026, having only opening at the Lyric Theatre last summer. Discounted group rates are available for ten or more people from Tuesdays to Thursdays and Sundays at 7pm.
About the show: Hadestown blends American songwriting traditions, from indie folk, to pop, blues, and New Orleans-inspired jazz to take audiences on a journey to the underworld and back, intertwining two mythic love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and his wife Persephone.
9. Titanique at the Criterion Theatre
Nominated for three Olivier Awards including Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play, Titanique has extended its booking period at London’s Criterion Theatre to Sunday 4th January 2026. The show is proving popular, having opened in December 2024 to sell-out dates. Groups of six or more can enjoy reduced rates.
About the show: Titanique combines the music of Céline Dion with the blockbuster film Titanic to turn one of the greatest love stories of all time into a comedy musical. The show features show-stopping numbers including My Heart Will Go On, All by Myself and To Love You More – backed by a full live band.
10. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the Ambassadors Theatre
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has extended booking until 30th August 2025. Groups of six or more can book seats in the circle at a reduced rate.
About the show: Based on the short story of the same name by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button tells the tale of a man who is born old and who grows younger each day. Benjamin wants nothing more than to live a little life. But will he ever find a place to belong?
The show features a soundtrack brought to life by an actor-musician ensemble and is directed and designed by Jethro Compton.
11. Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre
Mamma Mia! has extended its booking at London’s Novello Theatre and will continue until 28th March 2026. Groups of ten or more can enjoy discounted tickets for the stalls and dress circle.
About the show: The sunny, funny tale of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads on a Greek island idyll, all unfolding to the magic of ABBA’s timeless pop masterpieces, has been seen in over 50 productions in 16 different languages and turned into two record-breaking movies – Mamma Mia! The Movie and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
