Wicked has announced that EastEnders actor Aaron Sidwell will join the production’s UK & Ireland tour in 2018, playing Fiyero.
Sidwell is scheduled to appear at all venues, while the tour’s full cast is expected to be announced in September.
About Aaron Sidwell and the tour
Sidwell is currently playing Steven Beale in the BBC’s EastEnders, a role he originally played in 2007-2008.
He has appeared in musicals, such as Grey Gardens at Southwark Playhouse, American Idiot at Arts Theatre, London, while he held the leading role of Michael Dork in Loserville the Musical at West Yorkshire Playhouse and in the West End.
Fiyero’s character has been played in the past by Norbert Leo Butz, Adam Garcia and Bradley Jaden.
The tour will visit ten destinations, including Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Dublin, Sunderland, Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester, running from 31st January 2018 until 5th January 2019.

About Wicked
Wicked tells the story of an unlikely friendship between two sorcery students and their adventures in OZ that ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
