New river cruises and anniversary battlefield tours are some of the newly revealed itineraries on offer from Albatross Travel in 2018.
The tour operator has revealed its Continental Europe programme for coach and group travel in 2018, and is offering a choice of tours in 14 different countries.
France, Poland and Italy
New for groups to choose from are an itinerary called Chateaux of the Loire; a Poland and Czech Republic twin-centre tour; plus new ideas for visiting Italy and the Italian Lakes.
Chateaux of the Loire Valley is a five day tour visiting the picturesque chateaux of Villandry & Chinon, while a twin centre tour of Poland and the Czech Republic starts in Prague, includes a river cruise, and culminates in a walking tour of the Medieval city of Krakow.
New Italian tours include Tempting Tuscany & Umbria: a five night half-board break that will visit Montepulciano, Pienza and Orvieto – all famous for their home produced wines – plus a trip to Siena.
Anniversary tours
Flanders Fields Commemorative Tours celebrating the end of World War One in 1918 are also new for Albatross Travel.
Two tours will visit battle locations around Passchendaele, while another will take in the Flanders Field Museum before culminating in an Armistice Remembrance Ceremony at the Menin Gate in November 2018.
River cruises
A number of new river cruises are available in 2018, too. Cruise the Danube in Style, for example, is an eight day cruise from Vienna to Budapest, while Paris to the Cote Fleurie Beaches is a seven day trip from Paris to Honfleur via Lyons.
Passion Play breaks
In addition to its 2018 programme, Albatross Travel has recently announced a choice of ‘Passion Play’ itineraries for 2020.
These will include a visit to see the Oberammergau Passion Play, an event that takes place every ten years and has been scheduled next for 2020.
