Group Leisure & Travel magazine has officially launched its 2018 Reader Awards, and some of the most recognised brands and prestigious names in the industry are once again backing the campaign.
The initiative will culminate in the popular black tie dinner taking place on Wednesday 10th October at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, on the eve of the Group Leisure & Travel Show the following day at the NEC.
Throwing their weight behind the Awards are a range of official partners, including the likes of HF Holidays, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Condor Ferries and Group Line. Other names group travel organisers will be familiar with include G Adventures, Travelsphere, Arena Travel and Daish’s Holidays.
New categories
Two new categories have been added this year: Best Museum or Gallery, and Best Historic Attraction or Venue. These join some of the more familiar categories including Best Group Dining Experience, Best Christmas Experience and Best Guided Tour. The Group Travel Organiser of the Year Award 2018, will be a major highlight of the evening as will The Excellence Award – which recognises the outstanding contribution to group travel by a supplier.

Voting for this year’s awards will open to readers in the spring. Editor Keeley Rodgers said: “The black-tie dinner and Awards ceremony is the highlight in the group travel calendar. Participants can expect a first-class evening of celebrations and entertainment at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Wednesday 10th October and I recommend booking early to guarantee tickets or tables”.

A very limited number of opportunities are still available for companies and brands to participate and support the 2018 Group Leisure & Travel Awards, by becoming an official Awards Partner.
