The NEC in Birmingham will welcome a new action-packed experience later this year, created in partnership with adventurer Bear Grylls.
The Bear Grylls Adventure will comprise an 8,000 square metre attraction opening as a permanent feature at the NEC, where thrill seekers can experience a ‘whole world of adventure under one roof.’
The attraction, created by Merlin Entertainments, takes inspiration from the excitement of adventurer Bear Grylls’ real-life adventures across mountains, deserts and jungles around the world.
Guests will enjoy the ultimate platform to test and push themselves with authentic recreations of Bear’s favourite challenges. An opening date is yet to be confirmed, as are group rates.
Fly, skydive and climb
Visitors will be able to face challenges such as climbing, indoor skydiving, and taking on a free-roam high ropes course.
Other challenges will come in all shapes and sizes, like conquering small spaces, heights or the dark. By testing focus and control, by learning a new skill or pushing stamina and drive with a new activity, adventurers will be able to test self-belief and physical and mental agility.
In addition guests will be given entry to ‘Basecamp’, where everyone can learn and practise the skills needed for any great adventure in a selection of four group and individual challenges.
