Birmingham and Wembley will both host Peter Pan – Christmas in Neverland as their Christmas pantomime offerings this winter.

The pantomime will be visiting Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham from 20th to 24th December and then The SSE Arena in Wembley from 29th to 30th December.

It’s reported that organisers of the show want Peter Pan – Christmas in Neverland to be the biggest panto ever produced – and the show is hoping to be placed in the Guinness World Records as the World’s Biggest Christmas Show.

Peter Pan – Christmas in Neverland

The original Peter Pan story by J.M. Barrie follows Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily and a group of siblings and as they battle Captain Hook and the pirates in Neverland, a place where children never grow up.

The pantomime will be starring two popular UK personalities; comedian, actor and presenter Bradley Walsh, and Spandau Ballet singer and EastEnders actor Martin Kemp.

Walsh will be playing the role of Mr Smee, while Kemp will be starring as Captain Hook.

The pantomime will involve a cast of over 100 performers and will include flying cirque and stunt stars, actors and musicians.

The performance will be set across three arena stages on a movie style Neverland set, and will also use a 60-feet wide LED screen with computer graphic imagery and live close-up TV relay of the action.

Special effects will include a life size Jolly Roger galleon ‘sailing’ around the arena in front of a 10,000 gallon water wall, as well as a huge animatronic crocodile.

Also involved will be a team of BMX stunt riders, aerial mermaids, and trapeze and trampoline acts, combined with slapstick specialists to bring both comedy and adventure to the pantomime.
