Hot Ice, a visual ice show spectacular, is back for the 2019 season with a new production – Utopian – at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Hot Ice has been one of the highlights of Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s live entertainment calendar for over 80 years.
The ice show has been described as ‘glamourous, fast moving ice show packed with hundreds of sequin-studded costumes and incredibly daring lifts’.
This year’s Hot Ice show, Utopian, runs from July 4th to September 7th.
About Hot Ice and Utopian
Hot Ice is a show that is brought to life by lighting that reflects the mood of each ice dancing scene, during which the skaters slide and glide with intricate choreography performed to written music, conceived and inspired by some of the greatest soundtracks.
The qualities of the individual performers form an integral part of the creative process as each skater has their own style which is blended by the technically demanding choreography to create the show.
Hot Ice is choreographed by Olympic athlete Oula Jaaskelainen, who has designed the show to feature the skaters dancing at high speeds using intricate footwork and jumps. Lynsey Brown is the assistant choreographer.
This year, expect the usual glitz and glamour as a cast of international ice stars thrill audiences while reflecting on the history of show.
