Brief Encounter

Due to high demand, Noel Coward’s Brief Encounter has now been extended and is running until September at Empire Cinema Haymarket.

Kneehigh’s production of Noël Coward’s Brief Encounter, adapted and directed by Emma Rice, will now run in London’s West End until 9th September 2018, ahead of a world tour in 2019.

Synopsis: Brief Encounter

The show follows the lives of two characters after a chance meeting at a railway station, which leads to a ‘haunting and heart-breaking’ love story.

The cast features Jim Sturgeon as Alec, Isabel Pollen as Laura, Lucy Thackeray as Myrtle, Beverly Rudd as Beryl, Jos Slovick as Stanley and Dean Nolan as Fred/Albert, with Katrina Kleve and Peter Dukes.

Brief Encounter is produced by David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers, Jenny and Steve Wiener and The Old Vic, and opened in March earlier this year.

The play is directed by Emma Rice, designed by Neil Murray, with lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, original music by Stu Barker, sound by Simon Baker and projection by Gemma Carrington & Jon Driscoll.
