Highgrove

A collection of new Historic Houses and Garden Tours will visit some of England and Scotland’s most impressive royal castles, historic estates and gardens.

The new holidays have been launched by Brightwater in response to this year’s Royal Wedding, on 19th May, and will offer groups the chance to walk in the footsteps of the Royal Family. The new tours are as follows:

Highgrove and Cotswolds: A four-day tour visiting Highgrove House, the country home of Prince Charles; Abbey House Garden at Malmesbury, home to an amazing rose collection; Hidcote Manor with its contrasting garden rooms; and Westonbirt - the National Arboretum.

Historic Houses of Scotland: Follow the trail of both factual and fictional monarchs on this four-day tour, including the opportunity to visit Balmoral. Allegedly the favourite bolthole of The Queen, take lunch in its 18,659-acre estate before a private tour of the house. This break also uncovers the histories and stories behind Braemar, Blair and Menzies Castles with the option to partake in a few small dams at local distilleries along the way.

Gardens of Kent & Sussex 2019: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being tipped to become the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and on this four-day tour groups will enjoy a visit to the romantic gardens of Sissinghurst. You’ll also explore Wakehurst Place’s wild botanic garden, Lullingstone Castle, Hever Castle and the beautiful Great Comp Garden.
