Organisers of the Group Leisure & Travel Show 2017 have announced travel expert Simon Calder as the first of four speakers in this year’s Seminar Theatre.
Travel writer and broadcaster Simon Calder will make a welcome return to the Seminar Theatre line-up and is the first speaker announced for this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Show, taking place on Thursday 12th October 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham.
Senior travel editor of The Independent and considered the country’s leading travel expert by many, Simon was a huge hit at the GLTS in 2014 and is well-known as the go-to television pundit on all matters relating to travel and holidays.
GLTS visitors can look forward to Simon sharing a vast range of knowledge and expertise during his talk, which is eagerly anticipated. Another strong programme is promised by organisers who will be making a further speaker announcement next month.
Emma Cash, show organiser for the GLTS, commented that the full line up, when announced, should please everyone and offer a really interesting range of celebrity presenters and travel experts.
Sales manager Sharon Yandell is also positive about GLTS 2017 and told Group Leisure that stand sales for the 2017 show have so far exceeded all expectations and indicate prospects for a sell-out show at the NEC.
The event will take place in the larger Hall 18 this year to accommodate an expected increase in the number of exhibitors and visitors.
If you are interested in exhibiting or sponsoring at the 2017 event call Sharon Yandell on 01908-613323 or e-mail sharon.y@yandellmedia.com.
