More than 15 million people have watched the Marry Poppins show worldwide.

Stefanie Jones will take on the role of Mary Poppins and Jack Chambers will star as Bert, after the pair played the roles in Australia. The pair are joined by Michael D. Xavier as George Banks, Lucie-Mae Sumner as Winifred Banks, Rosemary Ashe as Mrs Brill and Patti Boulaye as Bird Woman.

The rest of the main cast is made up by Wendy Ferguson as Miss Andrew, Sonia Swaby as Mrs Corry and Miss Smythe, Ruairidh McDonald as Roberston Ay, plus David Burrows as Admiral Boom and Bank Chairman.

The show’s co-creator, Cameron Mackintosh said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be bringing Mary Poppins back, opening at the Bristol Hippodrome where she first took flight 20 years ago when we opened the first ever stage musical adaptation of Pamela Travers’ books, featuring many of the great Sherman brothers’ songs from The Walt Disney Company’s iconic movie. Since then, Mary has continued to fly around the world dispersing her magic, bringing families together and audiences to their feet.”

“Mary Poppins remains a timeless classic for all ages, full of wonderful characters, brilliant songs, showstopping dances and spectacular magic.”

Since its premiere at the Bristol Hippodrome in 2004, the stage adaptation has gone on to have record-breaking productions around the world, gaining over 50 major international awards, including two Olivier Awards and one Tony Award.
