Warwick Castle in Warwickshire has revealed details for its Christmas season and highlights range from Medieval banquets to winter-themed accommodation.
Other highlights will include a number of Christmas parties, a breakfast with Santa – great for groups with families – and a New Year’s Eve Ball.
The winter celebrations will commence with the arrival of a 25-foot-high Christmas tree on 14th November. It will be in the Great Hall until 3rd January, when the season ends.
Meet Santa
Groups with young children can book a new experience called Santa’s Stately Breakfast, during which visitors can dine on pasties and a full English breakfast in the State Dining Room with Mr and Mrs Claus.
Storytelling and games for children are included in this experience. Tickets are on sale now and include castle entry.
Sleep over
The recently opened Knight’s Village – a collection of themed wooden lodges – will be open for Christmas sleepovers on selected dates between 2nd and 23rd December.
Groups can enjoy breakfast and an elf wake-up call when staying in the lodges, plus two days’ entry into the castle.
Banquets and feasts
Christmas dining options range from a three-course Knight’s Lunch with all the trimmings at The Coach House to a Great Hall Dinner and Disco on selected dates in November and December.
Groups can also opt for a Great Hall Tournament Banquet that includes a three-course meal with a live Medieval battle, or The New Year’s Eve Great Hall Ball – complete with dinner and music.
