The boat trip company is celebrating 90 years of heritage vessel, MV Western Belle in 2025 and has added two new sailings for groups to try in the Lake District.
The latest additions are cream tea cruises and evening cruises. The former includes cream tea picnic boxes to enjoy on the lake, with a tasty scone filled with butter, jam and clotted cream, all served with coffee or tea.
Themed evening cruises include gin tasting, fish and chips sailings and live entertainment on board.
As well as authentic experiences through their range of heritage boats, group passengers can also link up with other Lake District attractions, or enjoy special themed itineraries in 2025.
Ullswater ‘Steamers’ group itineraries
- Cruise options: there are a variety of scheduled cruises from 20 minutes to two hours. The one hour cruise is ideal for groups travelling from north to south and travels the full seven mile length of Ullswater.
- Walkers’ cruises: combine a cruise with a walking and nature tour. The Ullswater Way footpath creates something a little bit different for walking groups. Cruises link walking start points and connect four piers around the full length of Ullswater.
- Combined itineraries: mix a cruise with another attraction tour, including the home of Marmalade Dalemain House, Lakes Distillery and Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway.
- Early bird photography dawn cruise: capture the dawn through the lens on board a two to three-hour cruise. This is ideal for early bird enthusiasts plus it’s a great opportunity to meet local photographers and share ideas.
- Premium VIP Cruises: Ullswater ‘Steamers’ has a range of charter and cruise options for those looking for a more private experience.
