In November 2018, the famous indoor international tattoo that celebrates all things pomp and pageantry will return to Arena Birmingham.
Bringing together marching bands and entertaining displays, 1,000 performers will join local groups to create a three-hour spectacle suitable for groups of all ages, which culminates in a Grand Finale.
The Birmingham International Tattoo 2018 will take place on 24th and 25th November. You can get a taste for what the event entails by watching the video below:
What can groups expect?
While details for 2018 haven’t yet been revealed, groups can expect plenty of music and entertainment similar to the years that have come before.
Previous massed international bands have included The Band of the Household Cavalry; The Band of The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment; The Warsaw Police Band from Poland; and the Adest Musica from The Netherlands.
Exciting displays that have previously featured include the Royal Air Force Cosford Queen’s Colour; the RNRMC Field Gun Competition featuring crews from the Royal Navy, Army & Royal Air Force; a Parade of Massed Standards; and a 1914 Sikh Troop.
Previous performances from the Air Training Corps Drill Display Team, an Emerald Isle Irish Dance Team, the Birmingham Tattoo Town Crier, a Flyball Dog Display and the United Kingdom Disco Display Team also indicate the range of entertainment audiences can expect at the event next year.
