The 24th international Gilbert and Sullivan Festival will take place in Harrogate, Yorkshire, from 4th to 20th August next year.
The annual festival celebrates the works of the Victorian-era theatrical partnership of the lyricist W. S. Gilbert and the composer Arthur Sullivan.
The highlights of the festival are set to include new productions of HMS Pinafore, The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance and Princess Ida, performed by the National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company.
There will also be a fully staged performance of Engaged on 11th August, and one of Ruddigore given by Egos Theatre of Spain and sung in Catalan on 18th August.
Other selected performances will include The Pirates of Penzance by Peak Opera on 9th August; The Yeoman of the Guard by the New London Opera Group on the 10th August; and Trial by Jury by the Charles Court Opera on 18th August.
There will also be a full Fringe Programme running for the whole festival.
Performances will take place in both The Royal Hall and the Savoy Theatre.
Extend a stay
A number of accommodation packages are available throughout the festival in Harrogate.
Hotels including The Majestic, The Crown and The Old Swan will offer packages that include bed and breakfast and tickets to separate events including full performances and fringe events. Afternoon tea can also be included.
Group tickets
Tickets for the festival will go on general sale on 11th January.
Groups of between ten and 29 people can enjoy a discount of ten per cent off ticket prices, while parties of 30 or more will receive a 15 per cent reduction.
