Groups can choose one of three new guided tours at the National Gallery.

All new tours are guided and aim to bring the artwork on display to life, with the gallery housing one of the greatest collections of western European paintings in the world from the 13th to the 19th centuries, from artists such as Leonardo, Monet and Van Gogh.

Groups will be able to discover the history and stories from the collection, which is open all year round. The gallery also has a dedicated Travel Trade and Groups team to assist in planning your itineraries and answering enquiries.

The three new tours are:

1. Private Daytime Tours: these take place during the gallery opening hours and last for one and a half hours. Gallery-approved Blue Badge Guides show guests the top highlights from the collection on show, and groups can choose from the following themes: Heroes and Villains Tour, Royal Tour, Highlights Tour, Women in Art Tour and Impressionist Tour.

2. Out of Hours Tours: these tours are an exclusive expert-led event that offers groups the opportunity to take part in a one-hour tour of the Gallery when it is closed to the public (before opening/after closing), allowing guests to have the Gallery to themselves. There is also the offer of optional catering add-ons such as nibbles and Champagne.

3. Bespoke Tours: bespoke guided tours, as the name suggests, are based on the group’s personal requests which can be on a specific artist, painter, painting style, or theme. These are arranged on an ad-hoc basis.
