Godinton House and Gardens in Kent has announced its new garden group offer for next year.
The deal covers entry to the gardens with a tea or coffee and homemade cake from the stables tea room for £6 per person and runs during April, May, August and September on Mondays to Thursdays.
Godinton gardens thrives in the spring and summer and is renowned for its spring flowers, wisteria and irses. Among the 12 acres of gardens are the walled garden, rose garden, herbaceous borders, lily pond, Italian garden and wild garden.
400 years of changing garden designs have taken place in the grounds which is now predominantly Reginald Blomfields’s 1893 design. The gardens are surrounded by ancient parkland which in itself has stately oaks and chestnuts.
Godinton House also has links with other attractions, such as Doddington Place Gardens and Chapel Down Winery.
Other group visits are also available at the attraction with plenty of benefits offered. These include guided tours of the house, led by an expert that delve into the property’s 600 year history. Plus, morning coffee, light lunches (consisting of either a sandwich lunch or a ploughman’s lunch), afternoon tea and a variety of homemade cakes and cream teas are on offer in the tearoom which seats up to 53.
