The Great Yorkshire Fringe Festival will return to York for a third time this year, promising entertainment, music, cabaret, magic and theatre.
The festival will run from 21st July until 6th August and tickets are available to book now.
The festival will be located on and around Parliament Street, and groups can expect everything from craft beer and wine bars, to gourmet street-food in addition to the entertainment.
Headliners
The first acts to be announced include comedian Richard Herring and jazz club musicians, The Ronnie Scott All-Stars.
Herring is described as an influential cult comedian, and will bring a brand new show to the Great Yorkshire Fringe.
The Ronnie Scott All-Stars, direct from the famous Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London, will be joined by vocalist and BBC Radio 3 presenter, Claire Martin, for a celebration of the legendary leading ladies of jazz, including Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and Billie Holiday.
Other confirmed headline acts include Slightly Fat Features, an international award-winning troupe who will put on a variety show.
Additionally, children’s play The Scarecrows’ Wedding will get its York premiere direct from the West End.
More at the festival
The Great Yorkshire Fringe Dog Show has been confirmed to return to this year’s festival, as has the White Rose Rotunda, a century-old Spiegeltent.
Also on site will be The Shed, an exciting venue featuring an eclectic mix of shows throughout the day and evening, and The Tea Pot, home to up and coming comedy, the Free Fringe and the returning Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year competition.
