The Runnymede on Thames Hotel, the newest addition to the Warner Hotels group, will open in autumn 2024 with group bookings now available.
Located in Egham, just a 10-minute drive from Windsor, The Runnymede on Thames Hotel is currently undergoing a complete renovation after being bought by Warner Hotels in March 2022, making it the 16th hotel in the group’s portfolio.
The hotel group hopes that the multi-million-pound investment will attract guests from across the UK looking for an entertainment and activity-filled break.
With 205 rooms, decorated with artwork that reflects the historical nature and beauty of the surrounding area, The Runnymede on Thames will also have a riverside lounge, where guests can enjoy riverside views, a choice of two restaurants, cocktails on the terraces and a new Live Lounge for entertainment.
It also features a spa, state-of-art gym, studio room for fitness classes, a relaxation lounge and an extended wellness programme. And between May and September (weather permitting) the hotel benefits from an outdoor pool with sun loungers.
Tony Roberts, chief commercial officer at Warner Hotels, said: “We’re certain our newest hotel will prove popular, and we can’t wait for guests to enjoy the beauty that its riverside location offers.
“With a Warner break, we know our guests expect everything they could wish for to enjoy grown up ways to have fun - from activities to top-class entertainment, guests are free to choose how they spend their day. With this in mind, we are curating our latest property to ensure there is something for every kind of staycationer.”
As the winner of the Best Accommodation for Groups Award at the 2023 Group Leisure & Travel Awards, groups are in good hands with range of benefits including free room upgrades for the GTO and one free place for bookings of 30+ guests.
What else can you expect?
For guests who want a more active staycation, there are a host of activities from tennis to archery and laser clay shooting on offer. The hotel will also host a diverse programme of entertainment and production shows.
Located on the banks of the River Thames, it’s ideally based to visiting nearby Windsor.
The local ancient meadows and grounds are ideal for keen walking groups and there are a number of historical sites nearby to explore, such as Windsor Castle and Frogmore House, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Hampton Court Palace and Ascot Racecourse.
Other nearby highlights include Windsor Royal Shopping centre, Savil Gardens, Mercedes-Benz World, Swinley Forest, and Virginia Water Lake.
