Organisers of the GLTS have revealed that the show will take over even more space at the NEC Birmingham on 20th October 2016.
The coach area of the show is increasing to occupy an extra four coaches – taking the total number up to eight, so far. This area of the exhibition will allow some of the leading operators to showcase their vehicles.
Exhibitor bookings are also expected to be at a high for 2016, with show debuts being made by big names such as Thomas Cook, Hurtigruten and Disney.
These huge brands will join the likes of show favourites, including Warner Leisure Hotels, Travelsphere, See Tickets and BBC Tours.
“Every year we try to make the show bigger and better, either by featuring more big name exhibitors or by improving the fine details of the show, like the Seminar Theatre line-up,” explained sales manager Sharon Yandell. “This year, visitors should actually be able to physically feel the difference, as we’ll be taking over more floor space. The presence of eight coaches should be quite a visual spectacle, too.”
The expansion of the show is timely, coinciding with the event’s 20th anniversary, which GTOs will be encouraged to celebrate on the day.
The Seminar Theatre line-up
Details of the free 2016 Seminar Theatre line-up were revealed in March.
Talks and Q&As will be delivered by antiques expert Eric Knowles, television travel presenter Martin Roberts, travel expert Julia Peasgood, and Alexis Conran, who you should recognise from television shows like The Real Hustle.
