Ambassador Cruise Line has opened registration for a 2025 UK ship visit programme designed exclusively for group travel organisers to discover what’s available to them on board.
In May, July and September this year, each ship visit will offer GTOs the opportunity to immerse themselves in the ‘Ambassador experience’ on board both Ambience and her sister ship, Ambition at three regional ports in the UK: London Tilbury, Liverpool and Bristol.
Offering a taste of what’s on board to tempt GTOs back with the rest of their group, visitors will be welcomed with tea and coffee by the company’s dedicated groups trade team, followed by a short introduction to the brand, its no-fly offering and an overview of the types of sailings available.
GTOs will then embark on a full ship tour before enjoying a five course lunch.
Alan Rennie, business development manager for groups, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be launching our popular ship visit programme for group travel organisers.
“We appreciate all the work GTOs continue to do to put the Ambassador offering on the map, whether that be for a club, society, business or association, or even an extended group of family or friends looking to celebrate a special occasion.
“We know there is nothing like seeing and experiencing a product first-hand and there is a huge appetite within the GTO community to get a taste of the ‘warmest welcome at sea’.”
2025 GTO ship tour dates
- 1st May: London Cruise Terminal - tour of Ambience
- 13th July: Bristol Royal Portbury - tour of Ambition
- 16th September: Liverpool - tour of Ambition
Group travel organisers who would like to register for a ship visit need to email groupsales@ambassadorcruiseline.com for a registration form and one of the group trade team will confirm their place.
These visits will be in addition to its ongoing agent programme, which has seen the traditionally British cruise line welcome several hundred agents on board its fleet of small-to-midsize ships over the last three years.
Alan Rennie added: “With a brilliant, affordable quality cruise product and a range of generous group booking incentives in place, we’ll be working even more closely with group organisers in the months and years to come and are looking forward to welcoming more of them than ever before on board Ambience and Ambition in our regional ports.”
Benefits for groups booking a cruise with Ambassador include free places, discounted sailings, a cocktail party, and private use of on board venues. From the British Isles and the Canary Islands to the Caribbean and Northern Lights, there are lots of itineraries for groups to choose from.
