Independent Coach Travel (ICT) has announced details of its new ‘River Cruise Collection’, featuring flexible itineraries for groups travelling on European Waterways next year.
The operator’s newly released river cruise brochure features suggested highlights and excursions for a variety of trips along European rivers including the Thames, Seine, Danube, Loire and Rhone.
ICT has teamed up with Trans River Line, Amadeus and CroisiEurope for the holidays.
Each of the river cruises will offer a full board service, a welcome drinks reception and a Gala Dinner on one night of the trip, alongside the option to include additional excursions and experiences.
The 2019 programme also includes stays in floating hotels in the cities of Paris, Amsterdam and Venice. The floating hotels are docked in the heart of the cities, giving groups an alternative to the typical city break, and offering a full board service.
ICT managing director Peter Stratton said: “We are delighted with our river cruise collection; we have often featured a great river cruise product in the past and now wanted to strengthen and highlight what we can offer today.”
Selected highlights
Combined Dordogne & Garonne river cruise: Departing from the world’s wine capital of Bordeaux, the cruise will take guests along the scenic rivers of Dordogne and Garonne, through Southwest France.
Danube river cruise: The Danube river cruise will take passengers along Europe’s second largest river to the UNESCO Natural Heritage Site the Danube Delta, otherwise known as a wildlife lover’s paradise.
Dutch waterways cruises: The Dutch Waterways cruises give groups the option to visit the iconic cities of Amsterdam, Antwerp and Brussels. ICT’s suggestion is to time a trip with the Keukenhof Gardens event (21st March-19th May), in order to see the bulb-fields in bloom
