Julie Peasgood announced as second GLT Show speaker

Accomplished travel writer, TV presenter and cruise expert Julie Peasgood has been confirmed as the second celebrity speaker for the free Seminar Theatre programme at this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Show.

It will be Julie’s second appearance at the exhibition, which takes place this year on Thursday 10th October at a new venue – the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes.

Julie, whose career spans 40 years of television and theatre including Emmerdale, Brookside, The Alan Titchmarsh Show and the new Russell T Davies series Years and Years, was one of the celebrity speakers at the 2016 event and her presentation was very well received. This time around Julie will focus on cruising for groups.

She has worked extensively for the Travel Channel, presenting Cruise Today, and has been a columnist for Group Leisure & Travel Magazine for the last few years sharing invaluable travel advice and cruise tips.

About her appearance at this year’s show, Julie said: “I loved speaking at the Group Leisure & Travel Show a couple of years ago - everyone was so welcoming.

“This time I shall be talking about cruises (as I’m about to embark on my 77th!) and I’m really looking forward to returning - to see familiar friendly faces and meet new ones!”

Julie will join travel expert Simon Calder in the Seminar Theatre. A third celebrity speaker will be announced in the near future.

Stand bookings for the venue remain up on this time last year, with some of the latest exhibitors to sign up including: Aerospace Bristol, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Best Western Hotels, Cotswold Tourism and Cruise & Maritime Voyages, with more booking daily.
