The famous Broadway production, Kinky Boots has announced that its run on the West End has been extended.
Shows will now run until Saturday 24th September, and tickets for this extended period are on sale now.
Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price who is struggling to continue the family business of Price & Son – a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton.
However, when drag queen Lola turns up, things change. The previously struggling factory finds unlikely help from the performer, who has arrived in need of some new stilettos.
Cabaret performer Lola and worker Charlie end up forming a surprising partnership as they develop a plan to produce a line of high-heeled boots.
Killian Donnelly plays Charlie Price, and Matt Henry plays Lola – both actors have vast experience in theatre, whereas Killian Donnelly also stared in the movie adaptation of Les Misérables.
Amy Lennox (Wrong Turn 5), Jamie Baughan (Alice Through The Looking Glass) and Michael Hobbs (My Week with Marilyn) also star.
The story is inspired by true events and the show is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell and features music by Cyndi Lauper.
Kinky Boots is currently showing at The Adelphi Theatre in London, having opened on the 15th September.
