Longleat Estate has released details for some of its biggest events taking place in 2018 in order to allow group travel organisers plenty of time to book ahead.
The Wiltshire-based attraction boasts miles of Safari Drive-Through, acres of beautiful rural grounds, and an Elizabethan stately home, and each of the different areas host big occasions throughout each year.
Here’s a rundown of some of the events Longleat is looking forward to laying on in 2018.
The Longleat Food & Drink Festival
23rd and 24th June
Returning for its second year, the Food & Drink Festival will see the park overflowing with all things foodie. Groups visiting can expect celebrity chefs taking over the Longhouse with live demos each day and a pop-up Market Street selling a variety of street foods, drinks and take-home treats. There will be live outdoor music on the Longleat lawns too.
The Killer Animatronics Exhibition
24th March - 31st October
The world of predators will come to life across the estate in this exhibition that focuses on unbelievable adaptations. See a great white shark in its actual size; interact with a super-sized Venus flytrap; and dodge the eerie butcher bird.
Sky Safari
14th - 16th September
This annual hot air balloon festival will return in 2018. During the September weekend the skies about the estate will come to life with all the colours of the rainbow as countless hot air balloons take to the air. Each evening there is a nightglow air display set to music, too.
The Festival of Light
Selected dates from 9th November
The ‘winter spectacular’ of the Festival of Light will conclude Longleat’s year of events in 2018. It will feature a new and innovative theme for the lanterns, which will be ‘bright, beautiful and brave’. More details are to be released in the future.
Each of the events above is included in a Longleat Group Day Ticket. To enquire, contact the group bookings team on 01985-844328 or via e-mail at groups@longleat.co.uk.
