The 2025/26 tour will see the show, set in 1970s Vietnam, visit Llandudno and Hull for the first time.
Further dates have been announced for a major UK tour of Miss Saigon, following significant demand for initial dates of the production by Michael Harrison in association with Cameron Mackintosh.
Miss Saigon will open at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal, where it plays from Saturday 4th to Saturday 25th October 2025. The tour will see the musical visit Llandudno and Hull for the first time.
New dates include Venue Cymru, Llandudno (Tuesday 6th January – Saturday 10th January, 2026), Hull New Theatre (Tuesday 20th January - Saturday 24th January, 2026) and Mayflower Theatre, Southampton (Tuesday 27th January – Saturday 7th February, 2026).
The tour is already scheduled to visit other venues including Theatre Royal, Newcastle; Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh; Palace Theatre, Manchester; The Alexandra, Birmingham; Grand Theatre, Leeds; and New Theatre, Oxford.

One of the all-time classic musicals
Miss Saigon premiered at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London’s West End in 1989, running until 1999 after 4,264 performances. It ran on Broadway from April 1991 until January 2001. Further performances include a West End run from 2014 to 2016 and a return to Broadway from 2017 to 2018.
The show has been seen by over 38 million people worldwide in 33 countries in 15 different languages and has won 75 major awards including two Olivier Awards and three Tony Awards.
The Miss Saigon story
Set during the 1970s, during the last days of the Vietnam War, the show tells the story of 17-year-old Kim who is forced to work in a Saigon bar run by a notorious character known as The Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American GI named Chris, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.
For three years Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he’s fathered a son.
Produced by Michael Harrison in association with Cameron Mackintosh, the original producer of Miss Saigon, it has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French text by Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler and orchestrations by William David Brohn.
The musical score features a number of well-known songs, including The Heat is On in Saigon, The Movie in My Mind, Last Night of the World and The American Dream.
The show will be directed by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy, who has previously worked on Miss Saigon at the Raimund Theatre, Vienna, in Japan and at the Prince Edward Theatre. Other credits include Les Misérables at the Gielgud Theatre and a production of Oliver! at the Orb Theatre in Tokyo.
