Motown the Musical has announced that it will be extending its booking period until January 2019.
The musical has released 500,000 more tickets for sale at the Shaftesbury Theatre where it is currently taking bookings until 5th January 2019.
The show will celebrate its third year in London in 2019 and Motown the Musical will celebrate 60 years since the record company was founded.
Tickets for the extended booking are now available.
Synopsis: Motown the Musical
Motown the Musical follows the story of Motown founder Berry Gordy, who borrows $800 from his family to set up a record label that launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and many more.
The production features over 50 Motown tracks including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Dancing in the Street, Stop! In The Name Of Love and I Heard It Through The Grapevine.
Motown the Musical is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, has music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Ethan Popp, and co-orchestrations and additional arrangements by Bryan Cook.
New casting
On 4th September David Albury and Kayi Ushe will join the cast as Smokey Robinson and as Marvin Gaye respectively. They will perform alongside Cedric Neal as Berry Gordy with Lucy St. Louis as Diana Ross.
Group tickets
Group rates are available for those with eight members or more and groups with 20 plus.
