Group travel organisers have given their verdict on the new location for this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Show.
Visiting the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes, which is where the 2019 exhibition will be staged on Thursday 10th October, the GTOs were impressed with the facilities.
Mary Gotts, GTO for the Huntingdon U3A, commented on “how easy everything is”, adding: “When I saw the arena, and the floorspace, it certainly had the wow factor. Coaches are able to park right outside; you’ve got the Premier Lounge upstairs and the catering options seem great.”
Others said a major factor was the free parking – with hundreds of spaces right outside the arena. Sylvia Saxon, chair of the New Meridian Association said hosting the GLT Show in Milton Keynes “makes sense” and that visitors will be able to make a “real day of it with shops, restaurants and everything you need on the doorstep”. Sylvia added: “As soon as I heard this year’s show was in Milton Keynes I knew it would be right.”
Marian Durbidge of the Herts Theatre Club added: “I’m really looking forward to this year’s show. Everything is so easy at the Marshall Arena. And because it’s the first time the Group Leisure & Travel Show has been held in Milton Keynes there’s such a buzz about it – everyone will want to be here.”
