Escorted group rail holiday provider Rail Discoveries has released details for its winter and spring 2017/18 programme, and new trips to Paris and Saxony feature on it.
The new itineraries include a winter trip to the Harz Mountains, a cruise to Paris, a trip to Saxony’s Ore Mountains, and a Christmas Markets tour featuring Bath and Bristol.
Groups choosing the new six-day fly-rail tour called Steam and Snow in Saxony’s Ore Mountains includes return flights to Prague and five night’s hotel accommodation with dinner.
The rail holiday encompasses a journey on the Fichtelbergbahn to Oberwiesenthal – the highest town in Germany – and an excursion to Dresden, the capital of Saxony. This trip will depart in January and February 2018.
Also new for groups is a rail holiday called The Harz Mountains in Winter 2018.
Those enjoying this break will discover winter in the Harz Mountains from a base in the old town of Goslar. Enjoy two train journeys on the Brocken and Selketal Railways as they pass through winter landscapes of forests and mountains.
Rail Discoveries is also introducing a four-day Paris in Winter Cruise. The itinerary includes rail travel, a city tour of Paris, a guided tour of Montmartre, a three-night cruise on the MS Botticelli, and a Gala Dinner, complete with a Paris-by-night cruise.
This holiday departs in November and December this year.
