The Science Museum in London will play host to a new exhibition called Robots next year, running from 8th February until 1st September 2017.
Set in five different periods and places, the exhibition will showcase the 500 year story of humanoid robots.
There will be over 100 robots on display, from a 16th century mechanical monk to robots from science fiction and modern-day research labs.
Visitors will discover how robots and society have been shaped by religious belief, the industrial revolution, and 20th century popular culture.
Highlights of Robots will include an articulated iron manikin from the 1500s, and Cygan, a giant 1950s Italian robot.
There will also be one of the first walking two-legged robots on display, as well as 12 working models, some of which visitors will be able to interact with.
Groups of ten or more can book tickets now through Groups Direct or on the Science Museum website.
