Groups and coach parties are being welcomed to the New Theatre Royal Lincoln by the theatre’s new management, which took over last year.
The 2017 programme of events includes the English String Orchestra, which will make its first visit to Lincoln with a performance celebrating the Romantic string orchestra literature (29th April); Whitney – Queen of the Night, a performance of Whitney Houston’s classic hits such as I Wanna Dance With Somebody, One Moment in Time and I’m Every Woman (30th April); and Bowie Experience, a concert featuring David Bowie’s top hits from Space Oddity to Let’s Dance (19th May).
The New Theatre Royal Lincoln has also announced its pantomime for the 2017/2018 season, which will be Aladdin. It will run from 4th December to 7th January 2018.
New Theatre Royal Lincoln
The Theatre Royal Lincoln was taken over last year after the previous management ceased trading in June 2016.
Now owned by New Theatre Lincoln Theatre Ltd and run by directors Mike and Natalie Hayes-Cowley, the Grade II listed 475-seat theatre was reopened in September 2016 following a revamp and a rebrand to its original name, the New Theatre Royal.
“We’ve worked so hard to return this wonderful Grade II listed building to its former glory,” Natalie Hayes-Cowley said. “With a fresh coat of paint, a new name and new management, the New Theatre Royal Lincoln is open and ready for our first full year. We’ve got an exciting programme ahead.
“We’re keen to speak to coach operators and group travel organisers who want to tie in a show at the New Theatre Royal as part of a bigger tour of Lincoln – or indeed offer a group booking to the theatre as a standalone trip.”
