Indochina Pandaw

Cruise company, Pandaw, is offering groups the chance to become masters of their own ship, travelling on the exotic rivers and coasts of Southeast Asia.

Pandaw’s shallow-draught ships can now be privately hired and chartered by groups of up to 60 people.

You can also make your own bespoke itinerary from a choice of destinations including Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and China.

All 16 ships in the Pandaw fleet can be privately hired. They range in size from the five-cabin RV Kalay Pandaw, sleeping up to ten guests, to the 30-cabin RV Orient Pandaw and RV Indochina Pandaw, sleeping up to 60.

Chartering your own ship means you can decide on the duration and route that the itinerary takes, in collaboration with Pandaw’s team.

Choose a readymade itinerary

Guests can also opt to follow one of Pandaw’s existing itineraries on their private charter, such as Pagan and the Upper Irrawaddy or The Chindwin in Burma, the Halong Bay and Red River route in Vietnam, the Classic Mekong in Vietnam and Cambodia or The Mekong: From Laos to China.

Halong Bay and Red River, for example, is a ten day long cruise of northern Vietnam, traversing the Red River delta and its main tributaries, connecting the wonders of Halong Bay with the excitements of down town Hanoi.

Sailing into Highland Vietnam, guests will get to discover the mountain villages and a number of tribal areas.

The Mekong: From Laos to China itinerary, meanwhile, sails through jungle and village scenery, and visits the Golden Triangle and China's Yunnan province.

The journey also includes overnight stops in Luang Prabang, Chiang Saen and Jinghong.
