Tour operator Rainbow Tours has introduced two new small group tours to Peru and Colombia this year, offering an alternative style of travel for those keen to explore Latin America.
The two new tours run on selected dates this year and have maximum group sizes of 16 guests.
About the new group tours
The Treasures of Peru with Inti Raymi tour begins in Peru's capital, Lima, home to museums and some of the continent's most celebrated restaurants. From there, the group will head to Arequipa, a colonial city set against a backdrop of three volcanoes, and on across the altiplano, through natural landscapes dotted with wildlife.
Next the journey is taken by train to Cuzco, arriving in time for the Inti Raymi festival. After this, the group will spend four days exploring Cuzco, the Sacred Valley and visiting the famous citadel of Machu Picchu.
Meanwhile, The Colours of Colombia tour will explore the colonial cities, jungles, coffee plantations and Caribbean beaches of Colombia, along with some unexpected aspects. Attractions and highlights groups will see on the tour include the Gold Museum, Zipaquira Salt Cathedral and El Peñol rock.
The tour ends with three nights in Cartagena where the group will be taken around the historic centre as well as have free time to enjoy the beach or nearby islands.
