Rail company Rocky Mountaineer is now offering custom designed group rail experiences for parties of 16 or more.

GTOs can work with the company to book their own exclusive coaches or lounge cars, book group specific hotels and restaurants, organize non-scheduled departure dates and even charter an entire train.

Rocky Mountaineer specializes in Canadian rail experiences, covering four routes through Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

These routes are named First Passage to the West, Journey through the Clouds, Rainforest to Gold Rush and Coastal Passage. Or groups can also book onto a Circle Journey which can combine all four.

The First Passage to the West, for example, will include a visit to Vancouver, Kamloops, Lake Louise and Banff on a journey alongside Kicking Horse River and the Rocky Mountains. This route along the Canadian Pacific track is famous for connecting British Columbia to Canada over 125 years ago.

The Pacific to the Rockies Rail Journey is a six day trip which begins in Seattle with time for sightseeing, followed by visits to Vancouver, Kamloops and Banff. A free day in Vancouver could allow groups to visit the Vancouver Aquarium or one of the city’s many art galleries, gardens or neighbourhoods.

The personal luxury lounge car, mentioned above, offers groups privacy and a more hands-on service. The car features cocktail tables and relaxation areas, a bar, power outlets, a unisex washroom, LCD screens for presentations and a working desk with PC access. Catering is available, too.

Rocky Mountaineer is also offering some special discounts for groups. One free place will be available for groups of 20 or more travelling up to three nights, or a group of 16 or more travelling for longer than four nights.

These particular discounts are applicable until October 2016.
