Borde Hill Garden in Haywards Heath is taking group bookings for the rest of this year, and into next with a variety of tours and discounts available.
Groups of 15 or more visiting Borde Hill Garden before 1st November can take advantage of a discounted admission price while the team are also taking bookings for 2021 at the standard group rate.
On a visit to the West Sussex attraction in the autumn, guests can expect to see late blooms in the Rose Garden with more than 750 varieties of David Austin Rose plants and the newly designed herbaceous borders by RHS award-winning garden designer, Chris Beardshaw.
Other plants to look out for at this time of year include crocosmias, Japanese anemones, sedum, asters, phormiums, grasses and many mature trees like acers, liquidambar and cornus.
The Gardener’s Retreat Café within the grounds is also offering pre-booked catering options, including afternoon tea, which will be served inside the Garden Marquee.
Autumn tours
Pre-bookable autumn tours with either the attraction’s head gardener or an expert guide can be organised for groups of up to 15 people.
The idea of the special tours is to guide visitors around the seasonal displays with staff sharing their expert advice and knowledge, as well as explaining how the garden prepares for winter.
The Artist’s Garden
Groups visiting before 30th September can also see The Artist’s Garden exhibition which has approximately 40 artworks around the formal garden, which are inspired by nature in stained glass, ceramic, resin and metalwork.
Smaller pieces are displayed inside the garden shop and Green Tree Gallery.
Even more benefits for groups
Along with discounted admission and catering packages, group organisers can make use of free admission for themselves and the coach driver, as well as free coach parking.
Coach drivers are entitled to a £5 meal voucher and the site has numerous benches and accessible paths for less able visitors.
Family groups
Special packages for either one or two adults with up to three children are available. For younger visitors there’s a new Adventure Playground located within the Garden as well as the chance to play hide-and-seek in the Woodland and cool down with a treat from the Ice Cream Hut during peak times.
