About Funny Girl
Funny Girl brought global fame to Barbra Streisand 50 years ago and boasts a number of iconic songs in film and theatre history, including People and Don’t Rain On My Parade.
The musical tells the story of Fanny Brice, whose vocal talents and comedic ability see her rise from the Lower East Side of New York to become one of Broadway's biggest comedienne stars.
Audiences can also play witness to Brice’s doomed relationship with gambler Nicky Arnstein.
The show is directed by Michael Mayer, whose West End credits include Spring Awakening, American Idiot and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Funny Girl is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Scott Landis Productions, Chocolate Factory Productions, Dante Di Loreto and Micheal Harrison.
Music is by Jule Styne, and lyrics are by Bob Merrill. Choreography is by Lynne Page.

Sheridan Smith made her West End debut in a National Youth Music Theatre production of Bugsy Malone and has since performed in musicals Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors and Legally Blonde.
