Ramblers Walking Holidays has launched a new season of dedicated walking breaks for autumn and winter 2017 through to spring 2018, with destinations including Spain, the Adriatic coast and South Africa.
The new programme of holidays offers over 80 itineraries to destinations around the UK, Europe and worldwide.
Examples of the new holidays include…
Walking the Wild Coast of South Africa
This 17-day holiday combines some of South Africa’s top hiking trails, the Wild Coast Meander and the Oyster Catcher Trail, with a visit to the Tsitsikamma National Park. Cape Town and Table Mountain are highlights, and activities include spotting the ‘big five’ game animals at the Garden Route Game Park.
From the Spanish Sierra to the Sea
This week-long half-board holiday takes in Spain’s Eastern Valencia region. Contrasting walking trails will cover everything from mountains, pine forests, pasturelands and wetlands, to beaches and coastal towns. Highlights include the lunar landscape of the Sierra Aitana and the salty desert of Albatera with its limestone and sandstone cliffs.
Adriatic Coast and Islands
Exploring by land and ferry, from Europe’s southernmost fjord and cobalt cove at the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro to the picturesque island of Korcula in Croatia, this ten-day holiday follows a network of ancient walking paths. This walking holiday starts in Herceg Novi in Montenegro, before heading into Croatia.
